What is plaster boarding?
Plasterboarding, sometimes referred to as dry lining, involves fixing plasterboards to walls or ceilings to create a smooth surface ready for plastering.
Depending on the project, plasterboard can be mechanically fixed to studwork or ceilings or bonded directly to suitable brick or block walls using plasterboard adhesive (often referred to as dot and dab)
Plasterboarding can be used for new walls and ceilings, renovations, lowered ceilings stud partitions and covering suitable existing surfaces.
Is plaster boarding right for me?
If you're renovating a property, taking existing plaster back to brick, creating a new stud or partition wall, or installing a lowered ceiling. Professional plasterboarding may be required before a surface can be skimmed.
